Description and usage: Cold pressed from the peels of Sweet Orange fruits. It has an orange color and a sweet, citrus smell much like the orange peels it is derived from, only more intense and concentrated. Its properties are antidepressant, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, carminative, cordial, deodorant, digestive, stimulant (nervous), tonic (cardiac, circulatory). It has also been applied to combat colds, constipation, flatulence, the flu, slow digestion and stress. In cosmetic products it is excellent to revitalize dull, tired skin.
Blends well with: lavender, bergamot, rosewood, lemon, clary sage, myrrh, sandalwood and spicy oils such as nutmeg, cinnamon and clove.
Interesting facts: The orange is a smaller evergreen tree which grows up to 3 meters high. It is native to Southeast Asia and it was grown in China in year 2500 b.c. It was supposedly brought to Europe by Arabians in the first century, along with the Bitter Orange tree. IN many languages it is also known as "The Chinese apple". Because the fruits became so popular, it is widely grown in warmer countries all over the world but it is most produced in Brazil, USA and Mexico.
Warnings: Read the label carefully and follow the instructions for use. For external use only, not for ingestion. Do not use undiluted. Very few people have experienced dermatitis from the limonene content of Sweet Orange. Avoid during pregnancy.
