Description and usage: Steam distilled from the Nutmeg seeds. It is clear and has a rich, spicy, sweet, woody scent - similar to the cooking spice, but richer and more fragrant. Applied topically it helps with rheumatic pain and can be used as first aid for toothache. It is helpful with fainting, fatigue and stress. It is very invigorating, stimulating, actives our thoughts and some also claim that it gives us very vivid dreams. To ease childbirth people used to dilute it in almond oil (5 drops per 25 ml of oil) and added 5 drops of sage oil to this mixture for massaging the maternity belly every day for 3 weeks before labor. It also eases easier to sports injuries such as sprains and muscle tension or muscle fatigue.

Blends well with: black pepper, cypress, geranium, clary sage, rosemary, orange.

Interesting facts: Nutmeg is not really a nut, but a pit in the fruit, similar to apricot or peach. It is also a natural flavoring in Coca-cola. The evergreen tree grows up to 20m and has a dense leaves and small pale yellow flowers. Originating from the Molucca Islands (Indonesia), it grows well in Penengu, Java and Sri Lanka. Indians used it for indigestion, the Egyptians for embalming and the Italians during the plague.

Warnings: Read the label carefully and follow the instructions for use. For external use only, not for ingestion. Do not use undiluted. If used in large amounts, Nutmeg Oil can cause toxic symptoms such as nausea and tachycardia. Avoid during pregnancy.
