Red Clay

Description: Dark red clay powder. Excellent for dry, normal or combination skin, it also soothes sensitive skin. The specific color is a result of high Iron Oxides content.

Properties: Cleanses the skin naturally while softening it, helps to remove dead skin cells. It has a special property to help toning the skin and giving it a youthful appearance. The skin feels silky after usage.

It is well used in making cosmetics like soaps, body wraps, scrubs, face masks and makeup powders. We can add it to a bath to help with irritated and tired skin.

Directions for use: Mix dry clay with purified water or a hydrosol and apply it evenly on cleansed skin (face and/or body), avoiding the eye area. You can also add one tablespoon of good quality plant oil and a few drops of essential oils. Leave on for 10 - 15 minutes (the clay will dry if you didn't add any oils), rinse thoroughly with water. Apply your favorite toner or hydrosol and moisturizer or plant oil.

Warning: Due to its strong natural pigment, red clay can stain the textiles. We suggest you protect your clothes prior to use. Do not use any metal products when preparing a clay or plant powder mixture (spoons, cups etc.) The metals can react with mixtures and change their chemical composition. It is best to use products made of wood or ceramics. We advise to people with large pores to remove the clay residue with a gentle oil massage.
