Description: Grinded dry leaves of Bhringaraj plant - green plant powder with herbal scent. Bhringraj, also known as False Daisy is an Ayurvedic herb found throughout India. It is a plant belonging to the family Asteraceae. Bhringraj has white flowers and grows commonly in moist places as a weed in India and all over the world. Bhringraj means “King of the hair”.

Properties: The herb is unique as it is able to awaken hair follicles from their dormant state and prolong the amount of time they stay in the active, growing stage. It is said to help rejuvenate hair growth by stimulating the follicles and helps hair grow also in bald patches.

It is best for hair loss and premature graying of hair. It is a tonic for the hair, helps to make hair strong and it is main herb used in natural hair formulas.

Bhringaraj makes the strands smooth, soft and manageable, preventing dry, damaged and frizzy hair.

It is also a natural conditioner and a cooling agent for hair. Traditionally Indian people used Bhringraj Herbal Powder for healthy hair growth, natural hair color and for improving the overall hair health.

Bhringraj Powder can be used in combination with Amla, Brahmi, Shikakai, Tulsi and Neem.

Regular use of this combination shows wonderful growth of hair and hair conditioning benefits. Suitable for dark hair since it has also been used as a black dye for coloring gray hair. The longer it stays on the hair, the more visible is the darkening effect.

Directions for use:

We suggest you use protective clothing and gloves to prevent stains on textile and skin.

Hair mask: Mix Bhringraj Powder with warm water to make a paste and apply on hair. You can also add Amla Powder to it. Massage the paste on your scalp and hair roots by circular motions. Then spread the Bhringraj paste on your hair from root to end.  Leave on for 15 minutes, rinse and wash with shampoo or Aritha Powder.

Hair Oil: Boil the Bhringraj Powder with Coconut Oil, filter and cool down to make conditioning oil for hair. When applied on hair this oil gives shine, health and strength to hair.

Warning: Not suitable for light, blond or bleached hair as it may darken the hair color, unless that is the desired effect. We suggest you make a strand test on a hidden part of hair.

Do not use any metal products when preparing a clay or plant powder mixture (spoons, cups etc.)The metals can react with mixtures and change their chemical composition. It is best to use products made of wood or ceramics.
