Skin and Hair properties: It is the best herb for strengthening hair and promoting hair growth so it is widely used for thin, fragile, fine hair. It has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and helps the natural skin tonus. It is rich in vitamin A and essential fatty acids. In India it is also used against insomnia, digestive problems and for lowering high blood pressure. The powder is also used externally on wounds to help stop the bleeding.
Hair care: Mix Baheda powder with warm water until you are satisfied with the density of the paste. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Apply to hair and massage well into scalp. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with water, no need to shampoo. Use weekly for healthy hair. Mix with Amla powder for more intensive results.
Caution: When preparing mixtures with natural clays or plant powders, you should never use products made from metals (cups, spoons etc.) since the natural ingredients can react with metals and that changes them chemically. It is best to use products made from wood, glass or ceramics.
