Description

Tulsi (Holy Basil) herbal powder, derived from the Ocimum sanctum plant, is a revered herb in Ayurvedic medicine known for its numerous health benefits. Grinded Tulsi plant, also called the Holy Basil. It is a greenish brown color with an intensive herbal scent.

Properties: It has deep cleansing properties and works as a natural antiseptic. It is a powerful antioxidant so it helps against free radicals. It is great for treating skin with different problems like ringworm, skin eruptions, scabies, eczema, minor wounds, itching, and scalp irritations and skin infections. In India it is traditionally used as tea to help with cold, headache, migraines, stomach problems, heart disease, malaria, infections and poisoning. They advise to use it with stress, for relaxation and blood purifying.

Directions for use:

Hair care /headache: Mix Tulsi powder with warm water until you are satisfied with the density of the paste. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Apply to hair and massage well into scalp. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with water, no need to shampoo. Use weekly for healthy hair. For better results mix with equal proportion of Amla powder. Afterwards you can use a hair conditioner or Neem powder.

Skin care: Mix Tulsi powder with warm water or hydrosol. Apply on cleansed skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with water, moisten with a natural toner or hydrosol then apply a moisturizer or plant oil.

Caution: When preparing mixtures with natural clays or plant powders, you should never use products made from metals (cups, spoons etc.) since the natural ingredients can react with metals and that changes them chemically.  It is best to use products made from wood, glass or ceramics.
