Benefits of use: Its fresh aroma can be used for air freshening, especially in times of colds or respiratory problems. Cajeput oil works well in hair care products as it is perfect for maintaining good scalp health and has a positive effect on hair follicles. It is great for oily hair and gives it a natural fresh scent. It is useful in skin care products for oily or impure skin as it calms the over-secretion of oil.
Interesting facts: Cajeput is a resinous evergreen tree, a close relative of the Tea Tree and Niaouli. In the Philippines, it is called the "Swamp Tea Tree". It grows up to 25 meters high, has whitish bark that feels like paper. It is native to Malaysia, India and Australia, but also grows a lot in the Philippines and nearby islands.
