Java citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus) is an up to two metres tall tropical Asian plant popular for its sweet lemon scent. It is related to lemongrass, the aroma of which is even stronger.
Our 100% natural essential oil is gained by the distillation of its leaves. Citronella essential oil is one of the most popular ingredients for perfumes and deodorants. Citronella is natural odour neutraliser and a strong natural insect repellent.
Citronella’s light lemon-herbal scent has invigorating and harmonising properties and helps to deal with any bad feelings. In cosmetics, citronella extract is used for soothing problematic skin as it decreases sebum production. Citronella essential oil is also beneficial when dealing with a cold as it makes breathing more easily.
