St. John's Wort Hydrosol (Hypericum Perforatum)

Description and usage:  

This hydrosol by Biopark Cosmetics was obtained by steam distilling St. John's wort blossoms. Its dry and herbaceous fragrance also has delicate floral notes. St. John's wort is said to improve one's general well-being and helps to alleviate depression. The floral water can also be used as a treatment for skin problems. Skin is softened and clarified while acne and impurities are reduced. When used as a toner, it has astringent effects and can easily be blended with other hydrosols. If blended with the Helichrysum Hydrosol it helps to reduce the appearance of scars. 

Note: Do not apply the St. John's wort Hydrosol before the skin is exposed to the sun! It must not be used to create homemade sunscreen products! 

Many ways to use hydrosols: You can add them to baths, use them instead of water for the preparation of natural cosmetic products (especially fresh masks with white or green clay), you can use them as a deodorant, body spray, or a refreshing toner for the face, to cool and refresh the skin during the day, for the aroma in saunas, you can add them to water for hair rinsing, wear them as a perfume or use them for a massage with natural oils. They are also perfect as a linen spray before ironing, or as a room freshener and ideal for those who are just starting to deal with aromatherapy as they are milder than essential oils.

Biopark Cosmetics Hydrosols, also referred to as floral water, are 100% pure and free from preservatives, alcohol and emulsifiers. Storage: It is important that these natural Floral Waters be kept in cool, dark places. Refrigeration is the preferred method (especially after opening) in order to inhibit bacteria growth that can naturally occur over time.  After opening, use within 6 months.
